Speleology in Cueva de las Sardinas Tapijulapa

The waters of the cave are white due to contact with the sulfuric acid that is generated in the environment and later becomes plaster. And it is called Cueva de las Sardinas Ciegas because in it live a sardines that have adapted to live in the dark and in its sulphurous waters. During the months of March and April the Blind Sardine Fishing Ritual takes place, which is worth observing.
