We're talking about Ruta del Misionero, a hiking route that began a really really long time ago, when the Spanish conquerors arrived to California grounds. That's where they installed their Jesuits, Francisca and Dominican religious orders, doing humanizing missions and consolidating lands that where from no one's.
This is the biggest walking route in Mexico, that crosses Baja California peninsula. The route is 621 miles in total. Also, you'll get to see some of the areas where the missions took place, walking about 21 miles per day.
In this adventure, you'll find one of the most rewarding experiences ever!
This route is done in two stages:
- First stage: 14 days, in Baja California, and 276 miles, 21 miles per day, from the 17th of February to 2nd of March.
- Second stage: 16 days in the south of Baja California, 344 miles, 21 miles per day, from 4th of March to 19th of March.
- The Complete stage: 31 days, both states are included. From 17th February to 19th March of 2018.
