Hike in Cerro Viejo Tlajomulco 4 hours

We take you on an expedition full of adventure, nature and spectacular landscapes. It is a hike and hiking route through Cerro Viejo, the third highest elevation in the state of Jalisco. The challenge is to reach the top while enjoying the journey.

Cerro Viejo is only 45 minutes from Guadalajara, in the municipality of Tlajomulco, and is the ideal place for nature tourism since which is also within an area declared a Natural Protected Area due to the great biodiversity that inhabits this place. Along the way you will be able to discover part of the flora and fauna of this region that is home to 509 species in its 23,000 hectares.

We will walk through incredible trails, you will see how the landscape changes according to the height, the trees are different in type and size and the thickness of the forest will also change. It will be a visual spectacle since around you you will see different shades of green and brown that mix between flowers, bushes and mushrooms. And what about the animals that we can find on our way such as badgers and squirrels. Other species that inhabit this hill are the scarlet macaw, the gray wolf and the Central American tapir, unfortunately all are in danger of extinction.

And once at the top, you will be able to contemplate fascinating landscapes, in addition to the priceless satisfaction of having reached the top. Our guides are certified in Nature Tourism and will ensure that you enjoy this experience to the fullest.

To join this adventure, it is recommended that you have a very good physical condition since the walk is 6 km uphill and 5 km downhill, as well as 4 km if you want to reach the area of the antennas .
