Description of Walk to the Refuge of the 100 in Iztacchihuatl
If you like excursions and hiking, this option is for you. We will take a walk through the volcano, until we reach the Refugio de los 100, which is located more than 4,750 meters above sea level. You will be accompanied by professional guides who will take you through the best paths and in complete safety.
This expedition includes round transportation from the meeting point in Mexico City. We will arrive at Izta-Popo National Park, where we will get off the vehicle and begin to prepare for the ascent. We will head out and surround the mountain step by step, we will have the best view of the main volcanoes such as Popocatépetl or Pico de Orizaba.
We will reach the third hill, finding a sandy area where we will stand at the other end to see the panorama of the City of Puebla. Next, we will make the last climb and reach our goal, the Refuge of the 100. In this place, we will spend some time admiring everything we will have around us, breathing fresh air and taking advantage of the nature that surrounds us.
At the end of the descent, we will go to enjoy a delicious meal to recharge our batteries and share what our experience was like.
