Description of Hike in the Pico de Orizaba South Route
Come and join us in our 1 day hiking excursion to ''Pico de Orizaba''.This route is addressed to those that are initiating in mountain climbing, so the level is medium-low choosing an easy plath that leads us to the ''Sierra Negra'' volcano.
We will arrive on a transport to ''La explanada'' which is 14763 feet above sea level. From this point we'll start our hiking of 40 minutes, getting to the shelter called Fausto Gonzalez Gomar that's located at 15419 feet over sea level.
You will get surprised of the landscapes at this height and in rainy seasons we can touch the snow.
