Kayak tour to the sunken church Presa La Purisima

Live a unique and unforgettable tourist experience aboard a kaya, this time we will paddle to the sunken church in the La Purísima Dam, located at 50 minutes from Guanajuato capital. It will be a guided tour, accompanied by an expert who will take us to this magical place. It will be approximately 3 hours of adventure in which you do not require previous experience.

We will include all the necessary equipment for the activity and your protection. After the introduction to kayaking, we will start paddling towards this historical site. The guide that will accompany you will be able to tell you that the old church of the Virgen de los Dolores was built in the 18th century in the community called El Zangarro.

This community was displaced during the viceroyalty for the construction of the dam. Currently, you will be able to get to know this church up close, where the civil registry and the vicarage were also located, where more than 40 years ago the former residents were married. Come and tour this historic and mysterious site paddling in a kayak, which will allow us to navigate inside this ancient construction.
