Description of Halk a day kayaking in Santa Clara swamps
We will set off from Mérida heading towards the port of Santa Clara, where we will have our kayaks all ready for the tour across the swamps that we will take. For this guided tour we will wear lifejackets and have supervision. This kayaking tour will last about 3 hours paddling straight. The objective is enjoying a calm tour admiring the wildlife of this peculiar ecosystem, where we will spot some morelet's crocodiles among the swamps tunnels.The swamps are also inhabited by different species of birds. Another highlight of this location are its petrified swamps, a solid formation where we can stand to take pictures.
Once we finish kayaking, we will go back to the cars to get to the port of San Crisanto. This swamp has a cenote where we can find an ojo de agua, a spring of crystal clear waters where we can swim.
