Description of Diving in Riviera Maya cenote with 1 tank 1 hr

Come discover the fascinating world of cenotes in the Riviera Maya. We take you on a cenote diving experience where you will discover the magic of these mysterious caverns full of history and spectacular beauty.

The cenotes are pools of crystal-clear water that are fed by rain and underground rivers in the area. There are thousands of cenotes distributed between the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo. The beauty of the cenotes consists of the formations of stalactites and stalagmites in their interior, formations that have been made over the centuries and that today give us a unparalleled visual spectacle. The cenotes were sacred places for the Mayans and they used them to communicate with the gods. They also believed that they were the door to the underworld.

On the other hand, the light that enters the cenotes is very particular, since the sun's rays penetrate through the cracks or holes in the ceiling, allowing you to see the bottom of the cenotes thanks to its clear waters. Diving in a cenote is a different experience since the flora and fauna and the underwater formations are different from those found in the depths of the sea.

The cenotes in which we can dive are Cenote Azul, Cenote Media Luna or Cenote Abierto, the choice will depend on the level and experience of the group of divers that is formed, you can consult it when make your reservation. On the other hand, it is important that you have Open Water Diver certification to be able to join this great experience.

We want to give you the best service and for you to enjoy your experience to the fullest, that is why our tours are managed with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor.
