Academia Municipal de Tiro con Arco Querétaro

The Querétaro Municipal Archery Academy is a school that trains archersportsmen, young people and adults, in a personalized way since it has professional instructors passionate about this discipline.

The Academy has its own archery field in the city of Querétaro and provides its students with all the material and tools necessary to learn this beautiful sport, which currently and thanks to the excellent performance of Our Mexican athletes are booming, although we must remember that it is as old as ever.

The person in charge of the Querétaro Municipal Archery Academy is Professor Pedro Vega, who has extensive experience both in the principles of the sport and in the management of basic equipment. (bow and arrow) and its accessories, as well as which one each archer should use according to their abilities and physiognomy, in addition to having their own experiences and even a gold medal in the discipline.

The hours of the Querétaro Municipal Archery Academy are from Sunday to Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and on Saturdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. In addition, the field has lighting for practice at dusk. There is a relationship with other groups of archers in the Bajío (Michoacán, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí and Guanajuato) for friendly competitions as well as contacts with suppliers for the acquisition of equipment.

To be able to start this practice, the basic equipment is made up of a handle (center of the bow), 2 branches (which give power to the bow), a rope as well as arrows. The string is personalized for each bow since they vary in length, as well as they are made up of 18 threads and have certain very special characteristics, each string must have a special tension to avoid damage to the bow or the archer.

Competition bows involve many accessories, some such as sights that can be very simple to very sophisticated and millimetric, and the material they are made of varies from stainless steel to graphite.
