Turtle release at Playa Troncones Children

With this activity, you will show your children the importance of caring for and conserving animals not only for the planet, but for our lives. At Playa Troncones, located in the City of Zihuatanejo, you can live the beautiful experience of releasing turtles. Together with a guide, he will explain and direct this activity, where step by step you will be able to participate and learn about the beautiful environment of these species.

We will take the whole family to the hotel where they are staying, from there we will head towards the beach and we will arrive around 2 in the afternoon. We will listen carefully to the talk that the guide will give us where he will tell us about the incubation process, feeding, way of life and conservation of the beautiful turtles. The experience will last approximately 3 hours.

We will learn a little more about its life cycle and why this activity is of great importance. Along with the sunset, we will move the turtles from their incubator nests to other containers, where they will wake up and be more active so we can release them into the sand and help them enter the sea. It is important to release them at sunset as this is the least likely time for predators to attack them.
