Gastronomic tour in Mexico City Markets

We know you were waiting for this tour, special for those who like to eat well. It is a guided visit to several markets in the Federal District and thus try some of the typical delicacies of this type of establishments, an entire Mexican culture captured in its way of eating and its recipes.

The markets of Mexico City are some of the most vibrant places in the city, and it is our mission to take you to them and enjoy them like a Mexican. Our food journey through Mexican markets begins just like most locals do, on the subway.

Our first stop is a relatively unknown market, even some Mexicans don't know about it. Your guide will provide you with interesting information about the unique history of the market from the first half of the 1900s, and provide context within modern Mexican society. If you are in love with the story of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, this will definitely be a highlight.

After this, we will hop on the public transport to make our way to the Witchcraft Market, one of the strangest places in the city. Here you'll find everything from your favorite superhero costume or a festive piñata, to magic potions, voodoo dolls, and the natural cure for hangovers. We are sure that you will be surprised by the different colors, smells and enormous variety of things that you can find in this market.

Once you've found your chosen magical elixir, we'll walk a couple of blocks to the subway that will take us to the 3-in-1 market of prepared foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, and an unparalleled selection of flowers. This is the largest flower market in the city, where local vendors will offer you a flower so special it may even match the color of your eyes. The halls of this market are filled with stalls selling fruits, herbs, piñatas, meat, fish, corn, mole, and everything in between. As you walk through the market, you'll be treated to a cup of pineapple tepache, tamales, Mexican barbecue, fruit cocktail, and exotic blended juices.
