Tour to Dzibanché and Kohunlich with transfer and food

Let us take you to see 2 ancient Mayan cities established in the surroundings of Chetumal, Dzibanché and Kohunlich, a couple of areas full of Mayan history, culture and architecture. You will have round transfer from your hotel in Bacalar or our meeting point in Chetumal, as well as a delicious meal in the middle of the jungle.

We will meet first thing in the morning to take advantage of the day, our first stop will be Dzibanché where we will find 4 different groups of complexes, for example Gann Square where buildings of different temporalities, among them the Temple of the Captives. A few steps further, you will also find the Plaza de Xibalbá which was the main square in its first years of existence. We suggest you be aware of all your surroundings as we can find howler monkeys and different types of Caribbean birds.

We will continue the tour traveling to Kohunlich, this was an ancient region that apparently served as a trading point between the Yucatan Peninsula and the Mayan cities that existed at that time. You will notice another architectural style and you will be able to realize that this site was surely built in perfect distribution for the distribution of water, since you will find canals and cisterns. The most important building for its beauty is theTemple of the Masks where you will find perfectly carved reliefs, some in red inks.

At some point during the tour we will make a stop in the middle of the jungle to taste a delicious menu that will consist of 3 courses, while you admire the beautiful landscapes that you will have around you. We suggest you bring a hat, insect repellent, backpack and comfortable shoes.
