Archaeological tour in Cacaxtla and amaranth workshop 5h

We are going to take a trip to prehistory visiting the archaeological site of Cacaxtla - Xochitecatl where we will be able to observe its architecture, murals and a lot of history inscribed in every corner. Of course we will be guided by an expert who will provide us with all the information about each element that we observe.

The archaeological zone of Cacaxtla highlights buildings such as the Gran Basamento which has mural paintings among which we will appreciate the Venus Temple and Red Temple as well as the Battle Mural, we will admire each one listening to the story that the Olmecs wanted to capture mainly.

You will be able to notice that the main pyramids or constructions are depicted one on top of the other and thanks to this, at the time when the area was studied and explored, elements, vessels and objects could be rescued, completely preserved and that we can appreciate inside the museum that is located on the premises.

We will enter together with our guide to the Cacaxtla Museum where we will be able to understand a little more about the history told through the murals, in addition to the political and religious figures of the time as well as the main deities. This tour will be very interesting because we will soak up a lot of ancient history of Tlaxcala.

We will finish by going to an amaranth workshop, one of the most requested Mexican sweets and with countless beneficial properties for health.
