Description of Corn tour and muégano workshop in ChiautempanJoin us on this tour in Chiautempan in which we will take you to the community of San Pedro Tlalcuapan to learn about the variety of corn and its different uses. It will be 8 hours of experience in which we will include a workshop and aguamiel and pulque tasting. Of course, you will have transportation and access to the sites we will visit.
We will start by going to a maguey plantation where a specialist will give us an explanation about the scraping of maguey for the production and preparation of both natural pulque and mead, prepare the palate because of course we will try them. We will continue with the guided tour arriving at a field with milpa crops, here we will carry out a fun activity to interact with this Mexican product.
For this stage of the tour we will be going to a workshop to make corn dough with which we will cook the famous tortillas, you will know all the colors of the main ingredient. In addition, you will practice other uses of the dried corn leaf through a totomoxtle workshop, including the wrapping of tamales.
We will be arriving halfway through the route so surely the stomach will start to rumble and it will be time to eat, so we will take you to a local place to taste local dishes. We will continue with our tour visiting the Muéganos Miguelito workshop, a sweet delicacy that you cannot miss.
We will finish these 8 hours walking through the Plaza del Artesano where we will observe and receive an explanation about the operation of the looms.
