Description of Ecoturismo de San Pablo Etla

Ecotourism of San Pablo Etla we offer a service of hiking and bird watching excursions in this natural reserve that is located near the city of Oaxaca . In the middle of the mountain, we also serve the "La Mesita" Environmental Conservation and Education Center , which makes us a perfect option for an expedition through nature or a school trip.

Within the 3,000 hectares of forest that the park has, we organize different routes for you. The longest has a little of 4 kilometers and we call it " Palo de Sol " with a high level of difficulty that requires good physical condition. Instead we have another route " Aguacatales " of scarce kilometer and a half, perfect for children and adults as it is very easy to walk.

You can choose between 7 different routes starting from different points of the park and observing different landscapes. Our guides will show you the most beautiful landscapes of the San Pablo mountains.

For lovers of birdwatching we also have expert guides since more than 280 different species inhabit here. Despite being able to do the activity freely, you can also receive the support of qualified guides.

How to get there?
Taking the “Álvaro Carrillo” theater as your starting point, you head out to Mexico. You pass the area of Santa Rosa, Brenamiel, the COBAO, passing the last traffic light before the deviation to the superhighway, there is the entrance to San Pablo Etla. A few minutes later you will be arriving at the center of the town. The temple is our reference point and behind it, on the street, you will find an exit with a sign that says “La Mesita” ecological reserve. From there begins a dirt road (in good condition) that in a matter of minutes will take you to the entrance to the Center for Conservation and Environmental Education.
