Salto Negro

Salto Negro we are an ecotourism company that organizes tours and tours in the natural settings of Ixtlán del Río, in the Livestock of the Mesa de Ixtetal, a magical space where there are waterfalls, a canyon, a beautiful lake and abundant vegetation.

We want you to get to know the Salto Negro Canyon, enjoying each of its corners in the most fun and original way, that's why we can do the tour on an extreme hikein the Many surprises await you, or, we can get on the back of a horse and gallop through the mountain.

As part of our activity program, we offer you the possibility of fishing in the lake, if a couple of mojarras bite you will be able to
cook it in our facilities and make your day of excursion a beautiful family coexistence. We also give you the opportunity to learn how to milk a cow, among other camping activities.

Ourecotourism center is located at the exit of the Guadalajara– Tepic highway, with excellent access to the ranch. Come with your whole family and live an excellent ecotourism experience.

Salto Negro we offer you hikes through different routes and trails, choosing the tour based on the characteristics of the group. One of our favorite excursions is the one that follows the canyon trail where we get into the river and can cool off under the waterfalls

Inside theLa Mesa de Ixtetal Livestock, an ecotourism center, we take you to theSalto Negro Stream, bathed by waterfalls where its main attraction is the natural pools. Bring your swimsuit because you will be able to cool off with a dip in clean, crystal-clear water.

Our naturalist guides will explain more about the flora and fauna of the place where with a little luck we will be able to see some deer, a wide variety of birds, armadillos and even wild boars.

Don't forget to bring your camera, the landscapes from the viewpoints are incredible and you will also have a great time. Get a little wet and enjoy a weekend of nature, breathing fresh air.

Salto Negro we invite you to take a guided horseback ride through the terrain and natural settings hidden by the Mesa de Ixtetal Livestock, in Ixtlán del Río. We left our ranch for a quiet and familiar walk.

As an ecotourism company, we have naturalist guides who will accompany you along the way explaining all the natural phenomena that take place around us, as well as a little more about the flora and fauna of the region that hides waterfalls, a lake, canyons and a river.

The horses are from livestock and are trained for the routes so they are tame and friendly, it is not necessary that you have previous experience as they quickly you will be comfortable riding.

Also in Salto Negro we have other fun activities that your little ones will love, such as milking a cow to get your own glass of milk, making a bonfire or camping activities in nature .
