Zoológico Guadalajara

TheGuadalajara Zoo has more than 50 hectares and hundreds of animals from all continents, it is one of the main tourist attractions when visiting this city. We have a giant variety of fauna, where you can see immense mammals up close: giraffes, elephants, rhinos, etc. From the largest animals to the smallest ones are in the Guadalajara Zoo.

We have divided our zoo into different areas according to the kind of animals you want to see:

• Aquarium: We are proud to be the first zoo in Mexico to have a 360 degree aquarium, where you will be surrounded from head to toe by thousands of marine species.
• Herpetarium: Crocodiles, snakes and turtles are some of what you can see up close here
• Amazonia: We dedicate this space to one of the most beautiful birds in the world, the Macaws.
• Monkeyland: With an area of 2 hectares, this area is home to a wide variety of primates.
• Ranch: Become a veterinarian for a day in our clinic, where you can have direct contact with different species.
• Jungle: chimpanzees, jaguars, anteaters and tigers are some of the species we have in this area
• Australian Village: We dedicate this area to this famous continent, known for being the motherland of several famous species such as the kangaroo.
• Michilia: Here you can enjoy seeing Mexican gray bears and wolves up close.
• Antarctica: Different species of penguins are waiting for you here!

We also have an auditorium for more than 3,000 thousand people, where you can enjoy exhibitions of birds and different reptiles.

In the first you can see all these animals from a panoramic view. and on our safari you will ride a bus that will awaken all your senses, we will see the most typical things about Africa from its animals to its dances and clothing.

The Guadalajara Zoo can be found in the Barranca de Huentitán.

At the Guadalajara Zoo you will feel like you are on a true African safari, observing more than a hundred different types of animals passing through each continent.

Come to our camps in the middle of the Guadalajara Zoo, if you really like animals and want to live a completely different adventure seeing them up close, our camps they are your best option.

At the Guadalajara Zoo you will have two types of camps

• Summer Camp that takes place in the month of July
• Night camps every week

We carry out the first one for children and young people in this camp, our purpose is for them to know as much as they can about animal life, we take them to visit the areas of the Aquarium and the zoo so they can see how they work on them.

The groups are divided by age and each one has a coordinator in charge. Parents can feel safe leaving their children here since doctors, paramedics and different personnel will be on hand 24/7. hours.

As for our second option of camps, we have the night camps, in which you can organize yourself with the group of friends or family that you want the most and come to have a unique experience.

Together we will be able to learn how animals behave at night, we will walk through the zoo, we will surround ourselves with bats, owls and many other species, we will make a bonfire >in which we will sit and tell stories and camp next to a shark in the center of the zoo.
