Kantun-Chi in the Mayan language means “Yellow Stone Mouth”, with this name imagine the colors of the rock formations that it houses within its caves. Stalactites, stalagmites, rocks, everything inside the cenotes is magical and you have to know it.
To explore the cenotes we offer you 3 alternatives: snorkeling, diving or kayaking. Inside the Kantun-Chi Ecopark we give you all the equipment, specialized instructors will accompany you and all areas are perfectly signposted.

Cenotes are natural phenomena exclusive to theYucatan Peninsula. In fact, they are so strange and spectacular that in the times of the ancient Mayans they were considered ceremonial centers due to the mysticism that they contain within their caves.
Explore each of our 4 cenotes by snorkeling. At the Kantun-Chi Ecopark we offer you. Our cenotes are calledKantun Chi, Sas ka leen Ha, Uch Ben Ha and Zacil Haof which one is totally open, or semi-open with super transparent water. You will be able to clearly see the great variety of colorful fish that exist in the cenotes.

Row as a couple or alone, enjoying the magical tranquility and peace that the nature of the cenotes of the Kantun – Chi Ecopark transmits. This ecological park is home to up to 4 cenotes in the heart of the Mayan jungle south of Playa del Carmen.
Of the 4 cenotes, the largest is “Sas ka leen Ha”. In this cenote with transparent water you can take the kayaks and paddle to see all the landscapes and environments of the cenote.
We can also paddle in the cenote “Uch Ben Ha”, an open cenote where you can also clearly see the great variety of colorful fish it houses.
Our boats are double or single kayaks, small, light and easy to move. You will see how once you take the paddles and start moving you will feel comfortable and safe in the kayak. You can go wherever you want.
For this activity at the Kantun-Chi Ecopark we offer you safety equipment with life jackets and even snorkeling equipment so that the fun is completely complete.

Explore cenotes with transparent water and magical rock formations in the heart of the Mayan jungle in the Ecopark Kantun-Chi ecological park. If you have a diving certification, it is the perfect destination for those who love scuba diving and extreme experiences.
Within our nature park you will find 4 different cenotes, open, semi-open and caves. The cenotes are interconnected by underground rivers where visibility is perfect so you can explore these tunnels.
