Baja Ecotours we are a marine center specialized in whale watching. Our highly qualified guides and marine biologists will take you to the San Ignacio Lagoon, one of the most important sighting points in the Sea of Cortez.
Between the months of December and April hundreds of friendly gray whales arrive to the coast of Baja California Sur as a migration phenomenon that is part of their reproduction cycle.
Not only can we see gray or humpback whales in the Sea of Cortez, other very beautiful and unique species also arrive such as blue whales or orcas that arrive at other times of the year.
Our excursions vary depending on the season. Specifically, between January 15 and April 20 we always take our visitors to the San Ignacio Lagoon, gray whale sanctuary. The rest of the year we sail through the Sea of Cortez looking for blue whales, orcas, dolphins or simply taking a walk around the islands.
If you want to practice Whale Watching, enjoy it in the company of specialists with Baja Ecotours.
