The Los Coyotes Zoo is a park that houses forty-six animal species giving a total of two hundred and eighty-nine individuals in the southern part of Mexico City.
The fauna exhibited in this zoo is mostly native to the Valley of Mexico. Among this presents the Mexican wolf currently in danger of extinction, the coyote and the lynx among others. The facilities of this park receive proper maintenance with gardening, cleaning and 24-hour surveillance.
In addition the Los Coyotes Zoo offers outdoor gym facilities, playgrounds, palapas for rent for children's parties and camps for Coyoacán elementary schools. Guided tours are a specialty of this zoo to get a more enriching visit of the park and its exhibits.
