Description of Jalisco and Nayarit tour with accommodation for 2 days
Come and discover the most historical part of the Jalisco coast for 3 days and 2 nights, in which our completely bilingual guides will be able to introduce you to our most authentic customs and the more fun way.
How will we start this adventure? Immersing ourselves in one of the most peculiar archaeological sites in the country, in one of the westernmost areas, in the town of Nayarit. Without a doubt, exceptional and unique for everything it has to show in each of its corners.
In addition, this small town was the most important in the epiclassical and postclassical era thanks to the "Copper Route", what is now the southwest coast of the United States.
After visiting the ruins, we will go to Jala, a beautiful town considered for more than a century, the most important in the region. Naturally, it is known for its crops, the largest ears of corn in the world.
We will visit the strange construction in green, pink and yellow limestone of a church linked to the Basilica of Saint John Lateran in Rome. We will also eat some of the typical foods of the region that are exclusive to Jala, such as corn cookies, biscuits and the endemic peanut.
We will stop at the Ceboruco Volcano which will fascinate us with its incomparable history.
After a day of discovery, we will head back to Ixtlán del Río to spend the night in a cozy and clean boutique hotel where you can replenish your energy for the next day's adventures.
The next morning, after breakfast, we will head to visit more volcanoes, Tepeltitic and Santa María del Oro. This time, both are part of the same system of El Ceboruco: the Tepeltítico and Santa María del Oro. We will explore the surrounding areas and if you are feeling adventurous we will take a rowboat trip to one of these lakes (actual craters) to end the day at the hotel of your choice - one of them is a family cabin and the other is a boutique resort.
We will also offer you several options for lunch and dinner so that you can choose and taste what you want most.
