Raicilla Tour in Mixtlán and Guachinango

Although the tequila is the king of Mexican spirits, the Raicilla is one of the secrets of Jalisco best kept, it is ... the queen!

We will travel through the heart of the Sierra Madre Occidental to the mountains where the small farmhouse of only five houses is grown, harvested and processed, where the Raicilla maguey is born ( another generic name for agaves).

You will discover the villages of Atenguillo and Mixtlán , embedded in the mountain range. From there, you will go to the top of the mountains to find this small but incredibly productive operation. You will visit the plantations, learn how they grow and take care of this native plant. Then you will experience how they make the drink. You can even try to extract the juices from the root of the plant by yourself. Get ready for this new experience!

These fantastic people and their followers will greet you. They will cook for you a delicious meal while you savor their product and learn how these people have defied all expectations for such a small and local operation in the mountains, through export to Europe . We will have a special dinner prepared by the same people.

After a day of sun and land, you will enjoy the isolation and peace of a private estate in the middle of nowhere. There, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences of the day, have a drink and rest wonderfully. The next morning, you will be greeted by a succulent breakfast prepared to the standards of the locals, so expect an excellent and abundant meal!
