Some of the star pieces that will surprise you at the National Museum of Anthropology are: The Stone of the Sun, which is a rock carved during the 11th century in which they represented the well-known Aztec Calendar. Through this piece the Mexica wanted to represent the way they used to measure time.

At the doors of the museum, you will find a large 7 meter high sculpture found in 1964 and is known as Tláloc. In the Mexica Room, you can closely appreciate the Coatlicue sculpture through which the face of the mother and goddess of the earth and fertility is projected. You will also find one of the more than 4 meters tall warriors of the Toltec culture, the Atlantean of Tula.
