A large number of underground rivers are located in the state of Yucatan, forming a labyrinth of tunnels that connect to the outside through the cenotes. These cenotes are freshwater wells that were formed in limestone soils and that today are home to a rich diversity flora and fauna of fresh water.

Cenotes are places full of history which will be explained in detail by our guides when visiting each of them. These caves were the only source of water for the Mayans in the jungle, and were considered sacred places where they performed rituals and for them they were the door to the underworld, the place where their gods lived and the spirits of people lived after death.

That is why visiting these spectacular places is an experience full of mystery but at the same time very exciting to discover these impressive caves with their walls decorated with stalagmites and stalactites and its transparent waters, a spectacle that you cannot miss. We will be able to swim in these cenotes, so we recommend that you bring a visor and snorkel so that you can see the bottom of the cenotes and discover their marine life.
