Guided visit to Tamtoc Archaeological Zone 7 hours

Get to know a spectacular site of theHuasteca Culture, you propose to accompany us on this guided tourthrough the Tamtoc Archaeological Zone. It will be a ride of approximately 7 hours and we will include you in this option, snacks and a delicious meal at the end. Also for your convenience, we will meet at a point in Ciudad Valles to transport you to the visiting area.

This area has 210 hectares and countless characteristics that lead us to think that it had a very great female influence. This is because the majority of the remains found in the area have belonged to women. Its main square has 18 structures surrounding it, assimilating the religious activities they practiced.

The Northern Complex of the site has been a great discovery since there are springs that flow into the Laguna de los Patos. A site was also found where they apparently produced beads or accessories to make necklaces. Another site in this archaeological zone that attracts attention are circular structures found in the cemetery and from there, 70 skeletons have been excavated.
