El Rancho Evergreen

The Rancho Evergreen is a family space where you can see the country lifestyle up close, learn to ride a horse, take a walk around the ranch in Chichihuistan , near of San Cristóbal de las Casas.

Within the riding lessons we offer you s 2 types of saddle: English and charro . Our horses are docile and also very friendly because they have been raised in freedom and under the care of those responsible for the ranch.

We not only teach horse riding classes, we also do one-day dynamics with children in which it is as if they visit a ranch to learn how they work, they learn which animals are domestic and how to take care of them. We also do dynamics of environmental education and interaction with animals.

In addition to the dynamics for children led by our trainer and instructor, Samuel, we also offer guided horseback riding for those who already know how to ride and have experience. We organize walks in the forest and in the countryside.

For those who want to enjoy nature and delicious Mexican food, we also organize walks to learn about the fauna and flora that are typical of this ecosystem. Even for the most amateurs and connoisseurs we organize bird watching excursions.

At El Rancho Evergreen we want to show you the wildest life that makes its way in the forests of San Cristóbal de las Casas. That is why we organize excursions and guided walks leaving from the facilities of our ranch.

On the one hand, we organize walks for families or just for children with a guide who will explain to them in interpretive hiking what we are going to observe in nature, from the different types of trees, insects and kinds of animals. What are we going to see in this area.

For lovers of animals and especially bird watching, our specialist guide will take you on a special tour to meet and see the different species of birds that inhabit our region. Exotic birds of different sizes and colors sing and fly among the trees of the Chichihuistan forest.

If you want to stay to eat at El Rancho Evergreen we offer you the opportunity to have a typical ranch food based on beans, ranch eggs, handmade tortillas, fruit water, coffee or tea. Everything made at the moment.

Come and spend a day riding a horse in the middle of nature and leaving from El Rancho Evergreen . We are a equestrian center where we also lead a country lifestyle. We love the countryside and we want to share it with all our visitors offering routes, riding lessons , interactive approach to horses and farm animals , bed & breakfast service and much more.

On the one hand we have horse riding classes for children and adults with our expert rider and instructor, Samuel. He can teach us 2 different types of saddles, which is the English or the equestrian charra. We have space to learn, a closed circuit of half a kilometer in which you can even gallop calmly.

Our second equestrian service are the horseback routes which are guided horseback rides going out to the Chichihuistan forest, where we will see nature, observing neighboring ranches and plantations. We recommend this activity only to visitors who have previous experience riding a horse.

And finally we have the children's days in which, on the one hand, children have an approach to the world of horses, that is, they can learn everything that owning a horse implies, what life is like in a ranch, their care and how they train. Afterwards, they will have a class in the ring.
