Baja Trek

Baja Trek is a different and totally alternative concept to what you can understand by ecotourism or tours. We organize tours of 1 to 21 days with camping through the Baja California peninsula, with the difference that we travel aboard a van. the 70s.

Our bus has been designed to be ecological and at the same time comfortable for our travelers. The goal is to reach the most hidden corners of the desert or mountains, camp and enjoy nature in the wild, sleeping under the stars with the sound of the waves in the background.

The objective of our services is to have aminimal environmental impact so our trips are only for small groups of adventurers who also value and care for nature, according to our philosophy.

On each of our trips we will take hikes through the various natural parks, biosphere reserves and most emblematic natural settings in the state. In some of the packages we even offer the alternative of being accompanied by kayaks to be able to paddle one day on the beach.

Our most beautiful and unforgettable tours are the ones we do during the whale migration season to the Baja coast as we take whale watching excursions to live this once in a lifetime experience.

We are going to take a tour of the main tourist attractions of Baja California but in a different and original way. Baja Trek we take you to know the most beautiful corners of this peninsula aboard an ecological bus from the seventies camping and enjoying total contact with nature.

We have excursions that pass through Ensenada, the beaches of Rosario, the cactus park of Catavina, Bahía de los Ángeles , the wine route that passes through Santo Tomás or spending a night in the fishing town of San Quintín.

The most beautiful thing about our tours is to go along the coast of Baja since we will always be close to the sea, enjoying the excellent beaches of the Pacific Ocean that are They mix the desert and mountain landscapes of the Sierra.

We invite you to explore the volcanoes in Tres Vírgenes, sunbathe inBahia Concepción or visit the biosphere reserve inCabo Pulmo.

At Baja Trek, specialists in ecotourism trips throughout the Baja California peninsula, we offer you the opportunity to see incredible gray and humpback whales up close. It is a unique experience that very few people can live.

Taking advantage of the fact that we are in a transit area for the migration of these magnificent animals, we go on an excursion in boats, in search of the whales to get as close as possible, sometimes so close that we can touch them.

To provide this service we offer you 2 types of “Whale Watching” excursion:

- 1 day: First thing in the morning we will board the boat leaving from Ensenada to Todos Santos Bay on an excursion of about 4 hours to see the whales that arrive on our shores between the months of December and April. Afterwards we return to Ensenada where we will enjoy a delicious meal based on lobster.

- 7-8 day excursion: On this 8-day trip, in the purest Baja Trek style, on our bus, we are going to dedicate 3 days only to whale watching, leaving by boat for 3 days to the sea to see these marine animals up close. The following days we will take the opportunity to continue our tour of the peninsula.
