Centro Ecoturístico Las Guacamayas

The Las Guacamayas Ecotourism Center is a natural paradise located in the Lacandona Jungle, in the state of Chiapas, where in addition to carrying out important work to preserve and care for this exotic bird, we offer our visitors a different and quality ecotourism experience.

At the Las Guacamayas Ecotourism Center we have cabins so you can spend a few days enjoying the jungle and nature, since here you will find many activities to do during a weekend or vacation.

At the Las Guacamayas Ecotourism Center we have everything from guided walks for bird watching or hiking through the jungle, to rental of kayaks or bicycles.

You also have at your disposal motor boat rides through the Montes Azules Reserve, one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Mexico that you can only see here where everything is nature.

The Las Guacamayas Caminata Ecotourism Center is a refuge and a place of preservation for this exotic species of bird. In order to publicize the beauty of this place and the spectacular nature of these animals, we offer you:

- Observation walk in Las Guacamayas: Tour through grassland areas where the natural and artificial nests of the macaws are located.

- Walk through the jungle: Tour through our facilities until we enter the Lacandona Jungle, doing interpretive hiking of the flora and fauna of this place.

- Specialized bird watching: Tour of our ejidal reserve and surrounding areas in search of birds that you indicate.

TheLas Guacamayas Ecotourism Center Boat Trips takes you to see our reserve observing the flora and fauna of the jungle from our motor boat.

Our boat tour takes place through two rivers, the Lacantun River and the Tzendales. Our guide and captain will take you through the best settings so you can enjoy the landscape, to enter the Montes Azules natural reserve.

From the boat we will be able to observe beautiful exotic birds such as parrots, toucans and of course macaws. Also, among the thick vegetation of the jungle we will see monkeys of different species and if we are lucky we will even meet jaguars or tapirs.

Within the Las Guacamayas Kayaks Ecotourism Center we invite you to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the Lacandona Jungle, touring the lakes of the Montes Azules by Kayak.

Inside the center we offer you our special kayak rental service, so that you and your whole family can explore all our surroundings and observe the flora and fauna of our region, one of the most rich people of the Mexican Republic.

With the rental of the Kayak you can make the journey at your own pace, paddling calmly, relaxing with the surroundings and the noises of the jungle and having fun while doing this adventure sport.
